About This Workshop
Learn tufting in a relaxed, hands-on class at BiuBiu Studio. You’ll pick up a tufting gun, choose your own design and colours, and build a rug from scratch — watching it take shape as you go. No experience necessary. Our instructors are with you from your first practice line through to the finished piece.

How It Works
1. Choose Your Design
Bring an image you actually want to make — your pet, favourite character, artwork, logo, pattern or something completely personal. We'll help you check it's tufting-friendly and simplify it if needed.
2. Pick Your Yarn Colours
Choose from 50+ yarn colours to match your original design, or build your own palette from scratch.
3. Get Behind the Tufting Gun
Learn how to control the gun with a few practice lines, then start building your actual design, row by row.
4. Finish Your Rug
Your finished piece needs a short drying and curing time before it's ready to hang or use. If it isn't fully dry by the end of class, we'll store it safely and let you know when it's ready, or arrange delivery for a fee.

Never Used a Tufting Gun Before?
That’s exactly what this workshop is for. No previous tufting or craft experience is needed — you’ll start with a few practice lines to get a feel for the gun, then move onto your real design with an instructor nearby for technique, tricky spots, or anything else you need a hand with. Beginner-friendly doesn’t mean basic — you’ll still leave with a rug that looks like you knew what you were doing.

After the Workshop
